Ost competes with Kansas Flyers Track Team

 


Meili Ost competed June 18, at a USATF Junior Olympics track meet at Fort Osage High School in Blue Springs, Mo., with the Kansas Flyers Track Team. Meili was part of a 4 x 800-meter relay team that competed in the 13-14-year-old age group. This relay placed first with a time of 11:06.58. Meili also competed in the 800-meter run, in the 13-14-year-old age group. Meili placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:36.27. This was a personal best time for Meili in the 800-meter run.

Meili Ost competed June 18, at a USATF Junior Olympics track meet at Fort Osage High School in Blue Springs, Mo., with the Kansas Flyers Track Team.

Meili competes again on July 9 and 10, also at Fort Osage High School in Blue Springs, Mo. This is a qualifying meet for the USATF National meet in Sacramento, Calif., July 24 through 31. The Kansas Flyers track team is an invitation only summer track team based out of Minneapolis, Kan. Meili's aunt, Marcie (Ost) Stegman, was a member of the first Kansas Flyers team in 1990.

Meili will be a seventh grader at Rock Hills Middle School and is the daughter of Kevin and Nikki Ost of Mankato.
