It’s almost county fair time in Nuckolls County. A full page advertisement in this issue outlines the dates and activities.

Something new this year will be food truck vendors selling items like snow cones, elephant ears, ice cream and popcorn. The fairboard tried to find vendors that would not compete directly with the barbecues and concession stand that have long been fair staples. The fair board hopes the presence of the food trucks will encourage more people to attend the fair.

Rock It Event Pros returns with carnival-type features, but with some different rides than in the last few years.

The rodeo clown this year will be Justin Rumford. Indications are that he is quite the entertainer and comedian who will be a great addition to the rodeo performance.
