Mankato City Council special meeting

 


A special meeting of the Mankato City Council was held on June 13. Present were Mayor Schoonover, Councilman Becker, Ost, Dauner and Payne, and Councilman George Hennion appeared via Zoom. Also present were Sharon McCormick, city clerk, Amanda Horn of North Central Regional Planning Commission, Dennis Miller and Becky Lix, Mapes & Miller.

The purpose of the special meeting was presentation of the audit report, review of loan agreements with KDHE, consideration of purchase of asphalt for street repair and resurfacing, and consideration of changing the curb structure near Mankato Livestock.

After presentation of the audit report, the council approved it..

After discussion and review of the loan agreements with KDHE, Ordinance No. 736 was approved.

After discussion, Ordinance No. 737 was passed.

After passage of Ordinance No. 736 & 737, it was approved for the mayor and the clerk to sign the loan agreements with KDHE.

The council considered information presented by Jim Zadina as to the purchase of asphalt for street repairs. After discussion it was apprived to purchase asphalt for repairs.

The council approved to proceed with the alteration of the curb near the Mankato sale barn with Mankato Livestock, Inc. to pay half of the cost.
