Resurfacing starts Monday on K-28 from Jewell east

Monday the Kansas Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing a portion of K-28 in Jewell County.

Work on K-28 will occur from the K-28 and K-14 junction in Jewell and proceed east about six miles to the K-28 and K-148 junction north of Randall.

Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one lane of traffic through the construction zone. Drivers should be prepared for a delay of up to 15 minutes and plan extra time in their travel schedules.

Heft and Sons LLC. of Greensburg is the prime contractor and has scheduled this $178,813 project to be completed by August.
