Barbara Renner, 97, of Burr Oak, died Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Jewell County Hospital, Mankato. She was born to Josef Stock and Barbara (Hauf) Stock on July 5, 1925, in Huttlingen, Germany.

She was the youngest sibling of five, three brothers, Josef, Anton, and German, and one sister, Josephine. Barbara came to the United States on Jan. 1, 1953, at the age of 27. She was united in marriage to Dallas Renner on March 1, 1953.

Barbara's husband, Dallas, died Oct. 1, 1993. She continued to live in the Burr Oak community until she moved to long term care in Mankato in June of 2022.

Barbara had a great love for her cats and all creatures. In her younger years she would be seen taking her walks around Burr Oak carrying a pocket full of dog food for any dogs she would meet along the way. She enjoyed watching and feeding the baby fox that lived in the White Rock Creek behind her home.

Barbara enjoyed going to garage sales and thrift stores. She always found a treasure or two, some she would keep and some she would give away to neighbors, friends or to those she hired to help her do chores around her home.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas; her parents; three brothers and a sister.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial will be held at a later date in the Burr Oak Cemetery.
