Resurfacing to begin on U.S. 24 in Mitchell County

Beginning today (Thursday), the Kansas Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing U.S. 24 from the Osborne-Mitchell County Line east to the Mitchell-Cloud County Line.

Work will occur Monday through Saturday during daylight hours. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one lane of traffic through the construction zone. Drivers should be prepared for a delay of up to 15 minutes and plan extra time in their travel schedules.

Dustrol Inc. of Towanda is the prime contractor and has scheduled this $3.6 million project to be completed by October.
