Lisa K. Baxa

 

Lisa Kaye Baxa, daughter of Norman Disney and Ruth (Cortney) Disney was born Dec. 7, 1963, at Superior, Neb. She died on July 11, 2022 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, at the age of 58.

Lisa graduated from Superior High School and attended NCK Technical College in Beloit, Kan. She worked at Mid Nebraska Individual services and Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior and for Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kan., for 27 years.

She was united in marriage to Karl Baxa on Aug. 12, 1995, and to this union two children were born, Nickalous and Amanda

She was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxilary, Superior, St. Isidore

Catholic Church, Cuba, Kan., and St. Isidore Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Ruth Disney; one

brother, Michael Disney; and father-in-law, Fred Baxa Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Karl Baxa of Cuba, one son, Nickalous Baxa of Cuba; one daughter, Amanda Baxa of Cuba; one brother, Rick Disney of Superior; two sisters, Patty (Scott) Henderson of Columbia, Mo., Cathy Disney Superior; mother-in-law, Karen Baxa of Cuba; aunt, Kathleen Selig of

Fairbury; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Rita) Baxa of Ingalls, Kan., Leland (Stephanie) Baxa of Osborne; one sister-in-law, Karla (Derrek) Jeardoe of Clearwater; uncles, Ron (Linda) Disney of Grand Island, Don (Dolly) Disney of Carleton; aunt, Arlene Smith of DeWitt; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Cuba, with Reverend Henry Baxa and Deacon Steve Heiman, celebrants.

Interment was in St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery, Cuba.

Vigil and rosary service was held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 14, at Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville.

Memorials may be given to the Lisa K. Baxa Memorial Fund.
