The Jewell County Commissioners met July 11. Commissioners Steve Greene, Brent Beck, and Keith Roe were present. Carla J. Waugh, county clerk, was present for the meeting.

Randy Hofmeier, Lindburg Vogel Pierce Faris Chartered, worked on the 2023 budget. The commissioners made reductions and adjustments to several funds. The revenue neutral rate hearing and budget hearing were set for 10 a.m., on Sept. 12.

Darrell Miller was appointed Democratic representative and Keith Roe, Republican representative to witness the disposal of the 2020 primary and general election ballots.
