Paula Renz

 

Paula Renz, the daughter of Donald and Edna (Kroese) Gingery, was born on Oct. 15, 1945, in Beatrice, Neb. She died on July 20, 2022, at her home near Hardy, at the age of 76 years, 9 months, 5 days.

Paula was a Lincoln High School graduate and furthered her education at the Lincoln School of Commerce. She was a 40-year member of the Superior Church of Christ. On Jan. 13, 1968, she was united in marriage to Orlyn Renz at the United Methodist Church in Lincoln. This union was blessed with four children.

Paula and Orlyn were avid square dancers with the Spring Creek Swingers. Gladiolus were grown every year by Paula. She loved all the colors and shared them with local churches and nursing homes. She played the piano for church regularly as well as other special occasions. Locally, she served her talents to every request given to her. Paula was willing to help anyone in need, and to drive them anywhere that was needed. She enjoyed trips with her husband, Orlyn, when his work at Reinke's required him to travel throughout the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Edna; her son, Michael John; and her brother Phil Gingery.

Survivors include her husband, Orlyn; daughter, Kathy (Robert) Rich of Superior; sons: Kevin of Hardy and Kilyn (Shayna) Renz of Red Cloud; two granddaughters: Seara (Aaron) Ware and Cambree Renz; and brothers: John (Kelly) Gingery and Steve Gingery, both of Lincoln, Neb .; other relatives and a host of friends.

Friends are invited to share stories and favorite memories of Paula during her Celebration of Life Gathering held from 1:30 to 3 p.m., today (Thursday) July 28, 2022 at the Superior Church of Christ in Superior with Pastor Mike Sander.

Private family interment is in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery at Byron.
