The Jewell County Commissioners met Aug. 1. Commissioners Steve Greene, Brent Beck and Keith Roe were present. Carla J. Waugh, county clerk, also attended the meeting.

John Ross requested more information on the home health services. The commissioners said they were licensed under Mitchell County and chose not to renew their license. The commissioners said there are other agencies that would provide home health services. The Jewell County Health Department has a list.

Joel Elkins, general superintendent, discussed projects. Steve Greene discussed bridge and road repairs needed by Rod Rose’s property. Brent Beck discussed 280 Road in Formoso.
