JC Commissioners Proceedings

The Jewell County commissioners met Aug. 8. Commissioners Steve Greene and Beck were present. Carla Waugh, county clerk, was present for the meeting.

Shannon Meier, ambulance director, reviewed the billing and activity reports. The commissioners approved to write off $3,647.54 for the second quarter of 2022 for EMS.

Joel Elkins, general superintendent, discussed road maintenance. Commissioners Greene and Beck reported road concerns. Joel discussed a contract with the engineering firm.

Don Jacobs, sheriff, had a contract from CyberPath Services LLC for the inmate messaging service. He said he had Alex Pierce, county attorney, review the contract. The commissioners approved the contract with CyberPath Services LLC for inmate messaging service.

Rex Boley, USD 107 superintendent, provided an update for the school year with staff returning back on Aug. 12, and classes beginning on Aug. 17. He also discussed maintenance projects.
