The Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners met at the county courthouse in Nelson Monday. All three commissioners were present.

The county road department submitted their certification of public roads classification and standards for board approval. The road department is installing three eight foot tubes to replace an existing bridge on county road 4700 near Hardy. Weather permitting, the department looks to have the project completed in three weeks.

More than 188 tons of used tires were collected at the August recycling event.

The board met in executive session to discuss a personnel matter. The demolition and in-fill of the former county jail site has been completed.

The board will meet at 8:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 3.
