Travis Thelander

Travis James Thelander, the son of Calvin and Polly (Green) Thelander, was born on May 10, 1988, at Ord, Neb. He died Sept. 12, 2022 at the CHS Agri Services Center,Roseland, Neb., at the age of 34 years, 4 months, 2 days.

Travis attended schools in York, McCool Junction, Aurora and Cheyenne, Wyoming, graduating from Aurora in 2006.

On August 5, 2016, he was united in marriage to Shayla Martin in Aurora, Neb. To this union four children were born, Briley and triplets Lane, Harlan and Creighton. They later divorced.

Throughout his lifetime, Travis lived in the communities of Ord, Aurora, York, McCool Junction, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Greenwood, Superior, Blue Hill and Hastings. He was employed at CHS Agri Services Center in Roseland.

He enjoyed racing, fishing, hunting, time with his friends and family.

Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harlan and Betty Green and Ollie and Mildred Thelander; his son, Lane Eugene on June 22, 2021; and his uncle, Rodney Green.

Survivors include his father, Calvin Thelander of Superior; mother, Polly Cardwell of Littleton, Colo .; his children: Briley, Harlan and Creighton; his special friend, Erin Jarzynka and her children, Trevon and Kaylei; his siblings Kristi (James) Wertz of Rock Springs, Wyo .; Joni Payne of Geneva, Neb .; Ted Thelander of Hastings, and Jeff Thelander of Omaha; other relatives and host of many friends.

His funeral was held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Neb., with Pastor David Johnson officiating.

Music was recordings of "Heroes and Friends," "Lead Me Home" and Amazing Grace."

Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., to greet friends.

Pallbearers were Jeff Thelander, Ted Thelander, Ryan Fushia, Nate Johnson, Jeremy Kinsey, Dillon Fushia. Brandon Ogorzolka and Ben Hamilton. Honorary pallbearer was James Wertz.

Interment was in the Bostwick Cemetery at Bostwick, Neb.

Memorials are suggested to go to the family.
