The Jewell County Hospital remodeling and expansion project has been completed since January of 2021. It was planned to have an open house to showcase the much needed renovation and new clinic and physical therapy buildings. Well, as all of us now know, the pandemic has been cause to curtail visitation and practice consistent infection prevention measures to assure the residents, patients and staff are safe from potential outside germs.

For some time, the hospital website has contained a pictorial tour of the new facility. People are able to view many pictures of the hospital and more than would be allowed to view on a planned tour. The hospital administration suggests readers of this newspaper encourage their friends to get on the site to “tour” the facility. The hospital board and staff understand the public wants to see the new facility and all look forward to the day when they “can” actually plan and have tours.
