There will be a government commodities distribution for families meeting income guidelines for the Jewell-Randall-Ionia area at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 22, at the Jewell Apartments Commons Area.

The following foods are scheduled to be distributed: corn; diced tomatoes; canned beef stew; cream style corn; cling peach slices; dehydrated potatoes; macaroni and cheese; Whole eggs; fruit and nut mix; roasted almonds; rolled oats; canned asparagus; and frozen peaches.

The maximum monthly income an individual can now earn and still qualify to receive commodities is $1,473 for a household of one person. Add $512 for each additional household member. There is a limited supply of some of these items and items will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
