It was a rough opening round game for the Hershey Holiday Tournament for the Lawrence-Nelson High School girls basketball team as they fell 60-26 in a contest that was never close.
The Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals handed the Raiders a 48-30 loss, Friday, in the consolation round of the tournament. Lawrence-Nelson fell behind early and trailed 24-15 at the halfway mark. They were out scored 24-15 over the course of the third and fourth quarter to record their sixth loss of the season.
