The regular monthly meeting of the Nelson American Legion Family was held on Thursday, Jan. 12, in the Legion meeting room.

The group was saddened by the sudden death of long-time club manager, Jim Menke. Jim was the driving force in obtaining the buildings that house both the clubhouse and the meeting room and was a storehouse of knowledge about the unit’s history. Plans for the ongoing operation of the clubhouse were brought forth and several members volunteered to assist.
