Fred Jay Moser, 73, Jewell, Kansas, died Feb. 2, 2023, at his home with his wife, Elaine at his side. Fred was born Jan. 24, 1950 to Lawrence and Marjorie (Adkins) Moser. Fred was the eldest of four sons: Leroy, Nel- son, and Curtis.

Fred enlisted in the Navy during his senior year. He was in San Diego, Califorinia,for three years and one year in Thailand in the Seabees. He was honorably discharged in 1972.

Fred was an over-the-road truck driver for several companies, the last was Network Transportation, Phoenix, Arizona. This is where Fred met the love of his life, Elaine Leiby. They enjoyed 32 happy years together.

Fred enjoyed riding his Harley with his brothers and friends, and liked fishing and hunting.

Fred enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. Fred had many talents. He was a life member of Jewell County Memorial Post 7830 VFW.

It was Fred's wishes to be cremated. A Celebration of Life service was held 11 a.m., Monday Feb. 6, 2023 at the Melby Mortuary in Mankato with Pastor Thaddeus Hinkle officiating.

There was no visitation.
