SHS boys lose to L-N

The Superior High School boys basketball team lost 46-34 to rival Lawrence-Nelson in the intra Nuckolls County game at Superior Friday.

Superior stayed close for the first two quarters, trailing 23-17 at the half. The Raiders exploited a 13-7 third quarter scoring advantage to keep the Wildcats at bay as Superior notched its 17th loss of the season along with four wins.

Tanner Theis led the Wildcats offense with 11 points. Ashton Grassman netted seven points. Jacob Meyer accounted for five points. Colten Butler and Dayne Clark put up four points each. Roscoe Baumbach scored two points. Owen Perrie converted a free throw for one point.

Superior closes out the regular season potion of its schedule Friday when they host Sutton at the high school gymnasium. Sub-district play gets underway Monday with location and opponent to be determined.
