Leonard Rex Jeardoe, 74, of Hebron, son of Alva and Geneva (Kasl) Jeardoe, was born on June 9, 1948, in Belleville.  He died Friday, March 10, at Holmes Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Leonard grew up in Belleville, attending school and graduating from Belleville High School with the Class of 1966. After graduation he attended Beloit Vo-Tech School in Beloit and became a lineman.

Leonard enlisted with the United States Navy on June 24, 1968, the day before he’d be drafted.  He served in the Navy Seabees from 1968 until January 1970 with an honorable discharge...
