COVID update and vaccines at Jewell County Health Dept.

The FDA has approved the bivalent COVID vaccine to be used for all doses administered to individuals 6 months of age and older. The monovalent Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines are no longer authorized for use in the United States. CDC’s new recommendation allows for an additional bivalent vaccine dose for adults ages 65 years and older and for people who are immunocompromised.
