L-N at two meets

 


The Lawrence-Nelson High School track teams competed at the Kenesaw Invitational Monday at Kenesaw. The Raiders competed at the Twin Valley Conference meet, Saturday, at Franklin.

Team scores were unavailable for both meets. Schools competing at the Kenesaw meet were Minden, Class B, Doniphan-Trumbull, Gibbon, Louisville, Class C, Axtell, Kenesaw, Shelton and Silver Lake, Class D.

Schools at the Twin Valley meet were Blue Hill, Class C, Deshler, Franklin, Harvard, Kenesaw, Red Cloud, Shelton and Silver Lake.

Jessica Sole finished in fourth place at Kenesaw in the girls 1600 meter run with her time of 1:03.53.

Sole was in fourth place in the 3200 meter run with her time of 14.53.93.

Sydney Biltoft was in seventh place in the 100 meter hurdles final heat with her time of 22.31 seconds. She ran a preliminary heat of 17.8 seconds.

Biltoft crossed the 300 meter hurdles finish line in third place with a time of 51:46 seconds.


Erik Wheeland was fifth in the boys 100 meter dash with his time of 13.7 seconds. Sawyer Cox had a time of 13.83 seconds.

Devyn Zikmund took second place in the 200 meter dash with his time of 25.03 seconds. Cox recorded a time of 28.28 seconds in a preliminary heat.

D. Zikmund crossed the finish line in first place in the 400 meter dash with his time of 54.91 seconds. Aidan Zikmund listed a time of 1:00.99. Cody Funk had a time of 1:02.42.

Nolan Ostdiek was in eighth place in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:19.98. Funk finished the event with a time of 2:35.15.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team Wheeland, Ostdiek, Tyson Kotinek and D. Zikmund were in fifth place with their time of 51.24 seconds.


Cox was fifth in the shot put with his toss of 35’10”. Wheeland had a best effort of 32’10”. Rocky Miller had a best toss of 29’4”.

Cox finished in first place in the discus with his throw of 120’10”. Wheeland took third place with his throw of 118”. Nathan Pofahl had a best throw of 68’10”.

D. Zikmund landed in fourth place in the long jump with his leap of 18’2.5”. Funk had a leap of 16’3.5”.

A. Zikmund was the third place finisher in the triple jump with his combined distance of 36’8.25”.

Sole was in third place at the Twin Valley meet in the girls 1600 meter run with her time of 6:44.52.

She added the fourth place points in the 3200 meter run with her time of 14:40.06.


Sydney Biltoft led the field in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 16.72 seconds.

Biltoft took third place in the 300 meter hurdles with her time of 51.74 seconds.

Wheeland ran a 13.29 second heat in the boys 100 meter dash.

D. Zikmund held sixth place in the 200 meter dash with his time of 25.8 seconds.

D. Zikmund was the first runner across the finish line in the 400 meter dash with his time of 54.85 seconds. A. Zikmund picked up sixth place with a time of 1:01.44.

Ostdiek came in third in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:25.

Carter Griffis had a fifth place finish in the 110 meter hurdles with his time of 17.75 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Tyson Kotinek, Ostdiek, D. Zikmund and A. Zikmund took first place honors with their time of 3:52. 28.


Cox listed third place in the shot put with his distance of 38’4”. Miller had a best toss of 31’3”. Wheeland a toss of 30’4”.

Cox finished in second place in the discus with his throw of 127’. Wheeland had a throw of 124’7.5” for the third place points. Miller had a best throw of 90’6”.

D. Zikmund had a fourth place finish in the long jump with his 18’3” effort. Kotinek covered 16’9”.

Kotinek posted a combined distance of 36’5.5” for third place in the triple jump. Griffis took fourth place with his combined distance of 36’4.5”. A. Zikmund covered 34’5”

The Lawrence-Nelson Invitational is today (Thursday) at the Sandy Creek high School track.


The district D-6 meet is at Sandy Creek, Wednesday.
