Popular holiday attraction needs more volunteers

Now in its 22nd year, Superior’s popular Candy Cane Lane is in trouble. Many of the early supporters of the program are no longer able to do the work of setting up and taking down the popular Lincoln Park display. In the past year, one of the spark plugs died and another is taking chemo treatments and unable to do the work he once did. Both also served as board members.

The result is an immediate need for volunteers.

A public meeting has been scheduled 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the Superior Public Library meeting room. People interested in the future of Candy Cane Lane are invited to atte...
