Leonard Heyen

Heaven received another Grandpa.

Leonard Thomas Heyen died on Nov. 21, 2024. He was born to George and Mary (Garrels) on Sept. 8, 1933, in Deshler, Nebraska, one of 10 children.

Leonard spent most of his life around the Deshler area farming and in the agricultural industry.

Leonard served in the Army and remained proud to continue with the American Legion in Ruskin.

Leonard was married to Ulala (Meyer) for 24 years and they had two daughters, Verlene (Tom) Melton and JLeiLani Carlisle (passed May 31, 2023); three grandchildren Brandon Saxton (passed Dec. 2, 2023), Amira and Andrew Leffler.
