Superior girls open basketball season with a win

The Superior girls basketball team opened regular season play with a win over Sutton 52 to 32 Thursday evening in Sutton. Last year, Sutton beat the Wildcats 52 to 39.

The Superior Wildcats played strong defense and never trailed. At halftime, they were leading 35-24. At one point, during the second quarter, they lead by 18 points. However, the Sutton Fillies out-scored the Wildcats in the third quarter 11 to 4 and cut Superior's 18 point lead in half.
