Earlier this season, Kyler Boyles (left), was recognized for 100 wrestling career wins. Above, he is joined by Brent Thomas, assistant wrestling coach. Boyles is a Superior High School junior. This week he won first place in the 190 pound division of the Fillmore Holiday Tournament.
Friday the Superior-Deshler Cooperative wrestling girls competed in Geneva in an all girls invitational.
Cheyenne Stacy won first place in the 120 weight class. Carlee Hinz place second in the 145 pound class and Grace Martin placed 10th in the 170 pound class.
Girls from 24 schools competed. They included Adsams Central, York, Seward, Auburn, Wood River, Palmyra, Louisville, Lincoln Southeast, Centennial, Fillmore Central, Sandy Creek, Meridian, Columbus, Lincoln, Shelton, Dorchester, Doniphan-Trumbull, Exeter-Milligan-Friend. Malcolm, Oakland, Axtell, Centra and Harvard.
