Oct. 17, 1951, was a big day in Superior for that was the day the new Crest Theatre and an expanded J. C. Penney Company store held grand openings. Mr. Penney came to Superior to preside at the opening of the store. He is pictured on opening day with G. L. Parker, the store manager.
