Photos from: Sacred Heart Church "Rebuilding" will "Restore" 100 year old Edifice

What a difference . . . Pictured above, a worker removes one of the stain glass windows high above the altar on the north end of Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence. With a strong sunlight showing through the glass, little seem amiss with the window. However, a look at the windows without the sunshine, they appear almost completely black. The smoke from the fire was so thick almost 100 percent of the building sustained this damage, which has to removed in order for the walls to be repainted and the windows be restored to their former beauty.
