Sandra Schendt, Nelson City Clerk received a surprise but well deserved award at the Nebraska Municipal Clerks Association Annual Banquet held in Columbus on March 21. Mayor Arlan Drudik and members of the Nelson City Council along with their spouses and Sandra's husband, Ron, also attended and were able to keep their attendance secret until the award was announced. Sandra was cited for her devotion to the Nelson community as well as the excellent manner in which she carries out her duties.
