Rolling Hills Electric holds safety meeting

Rolling Hills Electric Co-op held a safety meeting at the Mankato firehouse Thursday. Displays were presented on different situations such as what could happen if people came into contact with overhead power lines.

Present was Mark Martin, the narrator, Adam Badger and Todd Eitzmann, as demonstrators. Displays showed what happens if a farm implement comes into contact with overhead power lines and what happens to an individual if contact is made. It was also demonstrated how to get away from a proposed threat of being electrocuted.

The information was shared with firefighters, first responders and local citizens who were present.

Representatives from Rolling Hills Electric Cooperative manned several displays last Thursday evening at the Mankato Firehouse. Some of the demonstrations illustrated what happens if a farm implement comes into contact with overhead power lines and what happens to an individual if contact is made. Mark Martin narrated the event and Adam Badger and Todd Eitzmann demonstrated.
