B-D-S has early out at state tourney

The Bruning-Davenport Shickley Eagles were ousted from the state D-2 tournament at Lincoln Southwest High School Thursday when they fell to Mullen 60-54 in their first round game. B-D-S earned their state appearance through wild card points. They were the number six seed.
The Eagles trailed throughout the game. They mounted a furious fourth quarter comeback attempt, scoring 28 points, but Mullen scored 22, and the Eagles went home.
