Susan Marie Lieb, 71, the daughter of Ewell “Andy” and Barbara Anderson was born on Sept. 6, 1949, in Pomona, Calif. She grew up in California, and graduated from Lynwood High School. She then attended California State Polytechnic College in Pomona, Calif., and became a registered dietician. She also became certified as an EMT, paramedic and respiratory therapy assistant.

Susan was married to Don Lieb. They later divorced. To this union, two children were born, Trevor and Wendy.

Susan worked as a dietician for most of her life. She also was Republic County EMS director and an EMT then paramedic for many years.

Susan died Jan. 16, in Wichita.

Survivors include her son, Trevor Lieb of Courtland; daughter Wendy Mains of Wichita; and her grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen with a funeral to be held at a later time. Susan’s wishes were to have her remains spread in the Pacific Ocean with her parents.
