SHS wrestlers finish 7th at conference

The Superior High School wrestling team had five members taking to the mats at the state wrestling tournament held Wednesday and Thursday at the CHI Center in Omaha. They faced off against the best of the best from across the state in Class D. When the event ended, Superior was tied for 24th place, with 27 points, in the 66 team field.

Hayden Neeman, a sophomore, won his first three matches in the 106 pound weight bracket to advance to the championship round Thursday. He had lost only one match throughout the season. His opponent, Eli Lanham, Plainview, had gone undefeated. When the match...
