Jacob is officially a licensed driver! I dropped him at the courthouse Tuesday morning and had him call me to bring the car down when his number was called. I’m so proud of him but nervous at the same time. Not quite as much as when his older brother got his license, but nervous just the same. I know I’ve said it before, but this “letting go” thing is “for the birds.” Don’t even get me started on the increase in car insurance.
I don’t have much to tell you all about this week. We are all healthy. Nothing of note has happened in the last week or so. The state of my house would be described as “there seems to have been a struggle!” That’s really not much of a change, honestly. The hamper is overflowing. I have a stack of something on almost every flat surface. The dogs have tracked in mud; I was trying to sweep it up as it happened but gave up. Someday I will get a puppy and train it to wipe its paws. It didn’t work with the kids, but maybe it will with a puppy.
I am so excited for spring I can hardly contain myself. I want to get my hands in some dirt, plant a garden that I will inevitably get behind with, and soak up some sun. Eighteen days until the official start of spring. Let’s hope mother nature cooperates! X’s & O’s.
