The St. Stephen Council 1906 of the Knights of Columbus met for their monthly meeting last Thursday at the Sacred Heart parish church hall. Among the business of the organization a couple charitable action were completed.

Thanks to the generosity of its members and of the people in the surrounding parishes, the Council has been able to make the following charitable donations: * $1,000 to the Nebraska Father McGivney K C Foundation; * $500 to seminarian Santiago Izquierdo (a young man from Lincoln at the seminary in Maryland in Theology 1); * $970 to help pay for the Sunday TV Masses in central Nebraska.

Mike Buescher, Grand Knight, expressed his appreciation to all in the area who supported the Knights of Columbus’s charitable efforts.

In other business the high school scholarship was discussed as two applications have been turned in so far. The state convention will be held viral again this year and Mike Buescher and Dale Kimminau were elected as delegates.
