Lane Thelander

 

Lane Eugene Thelander, the son of Travis and Shayla (Martin) Thelander, was born on May 9, 2019. He died June 22, at Brod- stone Memorial Hospital in Superior at the age of 2 years, 1 month, 13 days.

Lane was born in Omaha, with his brothers, Harlan and Creighton. He was a busy and active boy. He loved to be outside, go swimming and pick on his brothers who he usually bossed around. He was a cuddler. You always knew when he was ready for bed as he had his blanket and sippy cup and headed for the bedroom. He loved to clean things and had his own broom to help Mom and Dad sweep. He loved his big sister "Sissy" Briley. He nicknamed his brothers. Creighton was "Baby" and the two had a natural bond. Harlan was "Bubba."

Lane was preceded in death by his grandmother, Chris Straka; his great-grandparents, Steve M. Martin, Jim and Judy Mertens and Harlan and Betty Green.

He is lovingly survived by his parents, Travis Thelander of Blue Hill, and Shayla Thelander of Superior; his siblings, Briley, Harlan and Creighton Thelander of Superior; his grandparents, Steve E. Martin and Calvin Thelander both of Superior and Polly Cardwell of Denver, Colo.; great-grandma, Sharon Martin of Superior; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

His funeral was at Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 27 with Pastor Arick Johanson officiating. A private family burial was in Bostwick Cemetery, rural Superior.

Memorials may go in care of the family.

Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, was in charge of arrangements.
