Jeffery Vader

 


Jeffery A. Vader, age 58, of Burr Oak, Kan., died Friday, July 2, 2021 at his residence. Jeffrey was born on June 28, 1963, in Belleville, Kan., to Harlow and JoAnn (Killen) Vader.

Jeff worked for Reece Construction and was a bridge superintendent. He was an avid KC Chiefs fan and loved his Dodge vehicles.

Jeff is survived by his father, Harlow Vader, Mankato; sister Treva Shotts (Gail), Superior, and her children, Gail Lyn Neilson and Tyrell Shotts; brother, Randy Vader, Superior, and his children, Cameron and Blaise Vader; his best friend, Larry Havens, Burr Oak; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; and a special cousin, Jerry Roesti, Jewell.

He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Simmons.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Friday, at the Melby Mortuary, Mankato. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.

His funeral will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 10, at Jeff’s home, 416 N. Main Street, Burr Oak. The family suggests casual and comfortable attire. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mankato, Kan.
