JCCDA to host Asset Mapping meeting Aug. 31

August 12, 2021

From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the Mankato Community Center, JCCDA will host an Asset Mapping meeting. This meeting comes as a follow-up to the Ripple Effects meeting held earlier this summer that discussed the impact of grants in Jewell County.

Asset Mapping takes a closer look at specific pieces of community life. It helps participants create profiles of their communities and the projects that were completed in recent years with the help of grant dollars.

Jenny Russell, JCCDA coordinator, said, “At our Ripple Effects meeting, it was encouraging to see representatives from several different Jewell County communities talk about how grants have made a difference. It shows that people care and are excited about the growth and advancements made in recent years. We are excited to build on this discussion, dive into how these projects created positive change and use that in our development efforts.”

JCCDA encourages leaders from each Jewell County community to attend the meeting. For more information, contact JCCDA at (785) 378-7036 or email them at jccda@nckcn. com.
