What a wild time! Sam's Fest is an annual fundraiser held to accommodate expenses to run the business. The event took off last Saturday.

Motorcycles and other vehicles gathered to register for the poker run. Several other communities helped host the event such as Pinky's in Courtland, Scoops at Jewell, Lovewell Marina and Outdoor Memories. The event lasted most of the day and ended back at Sam's where yard games, a live auction, DJ, live music and a fish fry were waiting. There were 52 total entries. In this month's city council meeting, it was decided to request representatives from North Central Regional Planning Commission at Beloit to attend the October meeting to "discuss" grant and loan "options" to repair and replace water mains.
