Bobby Wayne Goff, 64, of Concordia, Kan., died Sunday, Sept. 5, surrounded by his family at his home in Concordia. He was born on March 23, 1957, in Wenatchee, Wash., to Leonard A. and Frances L. (Huddleston) Goff.

He graduated from Jewell High School in 1975.

He married Tina Hill on Feb. 24, 1979, in Concordia at The Wesleyan Church.

Bob worked for the Cloud County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2012. He coached girls' youth softball for nine years and maintained the West Branch and Fairview cemeteries for more than 20 years.

Bob enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and gardening, but most of all time with his family and friends. He liked to visit and always had a story or a joke to tell.

He is survived by his wife, Tina, Concordia; daughter, Samantha Goff (Skylar Wiley), Concordia; brother, Allen Goff (Joycelyn), Winfield, Kan .; mother-in-law, Liz Standley, Jamestown; brothers and sisters-in- law, Phillip Hill (Bobbie), Ord, Neb., Dale Hull (Rita), Herrington, Kan., Scott Hull (Diane), Lincolnville, Kan., Bruce Hull (Diane), Lincoln, Neb., Lee Ann Peters (Jerry), Gypsum, Kan .; two grandchildren, Christian and Caidence; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; and fathers-in-law, Glen Hill and Frank Standley.

It was Bob's wishes to be cremated. The family will hold a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, with Pastor Al Paredes officiating. The family requests casual dress for the services. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.,on Friday, Sept. 10, with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m., all at the funeral home. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date in West Branch Cemetery.
