The forecast for New Year’s Day was for cold, fridge even, snow and wind. It was enough for the Lawrence American Legion to move all events to Sunday, Jan. 2. And it all went well.

Legion members and Sons of The American Legion offered the public a chance for a Breakfast Buffet in the morning and a Lamb Fry in the evening.

A drawing was also held in conjunction with the events. The winners of the drawings were:
