Thrift store donates $40,000 to foundation

Nifty Thrifty donates $40,000 to BMH Foundation

Nifty Thrifty presented the Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation a $40,000 donation late last week. Nifty Thrifty saw a total of $79,992.51 in sales for the 2021 year. The foundation will use the donated funds to purchase and upgrade equipment throughout the hospital. Nifty Thrifty made a $55,000 donation last July during its 30th Anniversary Celebration.

Nifty Thrifty accepts donated items in good condition and sells them in their storefront. The annual funds raised by Nifty Thrifty are donated to the Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation. Since its doors opened in July of 1991, Nifty Thrifty had revenue of well over one million dollars donating much of that to the BMH Foundation to assist in the purchase of new equipment for the facility. More than $500,000 has been raised in the past 10 years alone.

"A huge thank you to Denise and her team of volunteers at Nifty Thrifty. The countless hours of time and commitment to the store does not go unnoticed. We are lucky to have Nifty here in Superior. Because of you, the foundation is able to support the hospital in its continued goal of providing Superior Care Close to Home." said Heather Erickson, BMH Director of Foundation.

The Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation is a nonprofit organization that accepts financial gifts to enhance and expand healthcare programs and services at Brodstone. The Foundation officially became a separate 501(c)3 organization in 2020.
