Kennedy retires after 21 years with KDOT

Dennis Kennedy, equipment operator, retired on March 4, after 21 years of service with the Kansas Department of Transportation. Kennedy began his career with KDOT in 2001 in Mankato where he spent his career performing basic maintenance tasks such as mowing which he enjoyed, road repair and as the operator of an assigned dump truck which he took care of. He often helped other crews and with flagging traffic for accidents.

In retirement, Kennedy plans to continue farming and enjoying time with

his family. He looks forward to more time with his grandchildren and watching them grow. Dennis and his wife, Julie, live in Mankato. They have three children: Anthony, Austin and Codi, and three grandchildren: Bailey, Aidam, and Addison.
