The results of my death are greatly exaggerated is a popular misquote attributed to author Samuel Clements known by his pen name of Mark Twain. The humorist quote is based on a letter Clements sent to a newspaper reporter who had asked about the rumors that Clements was dying.
After publication of last week's issue of the Jewell County Record a similar quote could be attributed to Jessica Shulda. It was our intention to feature the Rock Hills Elementary School teacher in our stories about Mankato people. The story was printed last week but unfortunately it was included in the obituary column and some readers feared Mrs. Shulda was deceased.
At last report she was very much alive and teaching her Pre-Kindergarten class. We regret the placement of her story in last week. If you missed it last week, we will reprinted in this issue.
