Katelyn Mazour and Elsa Jorgensen, both members of the Lawrence -Nelson High School track team, race toward the finish line at the Doane University Invitational indoor track meet at Crete Thursday. Jorgensen finished in third place while Mazour took seventh place.
The Lawrence-Nelson boys and girls track and field teams opened their 2022 outdoor season, Tuesday, at Kenesaw. Their scheduled opener, at Sutton, last Tuesday, was cancelled because of inclement weather conditions. Meet results were unavailable at press time.
The team will compete at the Franklin Invitational Tuesday.
