The Lawrence-Nelson High School boys golf team played two events in three days at Red Cloud.

The Raiders came in second place at the triangular match, lastTuesday, with a team score of 199 for the nine-hole match. Blue Hill and Red Cloud were the other teams playing.

The Raiders used the Tuesday match as a warm-up event for the Red Cloud Invitational Thursday. The Raiders came out on top of the 13 team field with a team score of 368 for the 18-hole event. Other schools competing at the Invite were Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Blue Hill, Deshler, Doniphan-Trumbull, Exeter-Milligan, Franklin, Red Cloud, Sandy Creek, Silver Lake, St. Cecilia and Superior.

The Raiders competed at the Sandy Creek Invitational, Tuesday, at the Crooked Creek Golf Course in Clay Center. Match results were unavailable at press time.

Toby Kotinek led the Raiders at the Red Cloud triangular with a round of 48. Wyatt Hajny finished with a round of 49. Carson Vaughn carded a round of 50. Wyatt Brockman had a round of 52. Bayln Bargen closed out a round of 57. The four lowest scores make up the team total.

The junior varsity team also competed at the triangular. Cody Brockman had a round of 50. Theo Kathman shot a round of 52. Jacob Kathman posted a round of 53. Bailey Ceder registered a round of 58. Nathan Elledge listed a round of 59. Trev Mueller was in at 63 strokes. Hayden Mazour reported a round of 66. Aidan Zikmund registered a round of 72. Will Dougherty had a round of 74.

Conner Janda was the low Raider scorer at the invitational with his round of 89. Krayton Kucer posted around of 90. Toby Kotinek carded a round of 97. Hajny listed around of 92. W. Brockman had a round of 101.

Lawrence-Nelson will play the Blue Hill Invitational, Tuesday, over the Red Cloud Golf Course.
