Senator Dave Murman of Glenvil applauded the U.S. Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade and return the regulation of abortion to the individual states.
“What a victory,” said Murman. “What a long-awaited correction of an egregious decision that has cost the lives of more than 60 million babies since 1973.”
Senator Murman laments the fact that no trigger bill is in place in Nebraska to go into effect with the high court’s ruling. He is prepared, though if Governor Pete Ricketts and Speaker of the Legislature Mike Hilgers call a special session to address the issue.
