The regular meeting of the Mankato City Council was called to order by Mayor Justin Schoonover on July 5. Councilment present were: Sam Becker, Kevin Ost, George Hennon, Rodney Payne and Lyle Dauner. Also present were Darrell Miller, city attorney, and Sharon McCormick, interim city clerk.

Visitors present were: Don Jacobs, Jewell County Sheriff; Tiffany Hollerich; Don Koester; Christian Jeffery; Amanda Horn; and Jim Kohman, CES Engineering.

Sheriff Jacobs had a brief discussion with the council regarding complaints of barking dogs.
