Ward Wilson Aurand, the son of Eugene and Lelia (Schnitker) Aurand, was born on March 2, 1923, in Courtland, Kan. He died Monday at the Parkview Haven Nursing Home at Deshler, Neb., at the age of 99 years, 4 months, 16 days.

Ward attended school at Big Bend District 122 in Republic County. He was a lifetime farmer in the Courtland community. He was united in marriage to Ilene Charlotte Fangmeyer on Aug. 8, 1987, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hardy. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hardy and the Elks and Eagles Clubs in Superior.
