Nelson and Frost re-appointed to Hospital Board

 


The Jewell County Commissioners met Tuesday, July 5. Commissioners Steve Greene, Brent Beck, and Keith Roe were present. Carla J. Waugh, county clerk, was also present for the meeting.

Carla Waugh discussed the proposal from KOMTEK Systems Corporation for the RNR Statement printing and mail processing with an estimated cost of .57 cents per statement. The commissioners approved the quote from KOMTEK Systems Corporation for the RNR statement printing and mail processing.

Amanda Davis, register of deeds, had quotes to purchase a projection scanner so they will be able to get all the records in the register of deeds office digitized. Commissioners approved the purchase of a projection scanner with 4-year warranty and background pad from Amazon for a total of $707.99.

Joel Elkins, general superintendent, had bids for culverts. The commissioners approved the bid of $106,442.28 from J&J Drainage Products Co.

Carla Waugh, county clerk, discussed the date and time of the canvass for the August Primary Election and November General Election. The canvass for August Primary Election will be at 8 a.m., on Aug. 8, and for the November General Election will be at 8 a.m., on Nov. 14, in the county commissioners’ meeting room.

The commissioners re-appointed Kendall Nelson and Lila Frost to the Jewell County Hospital Board for a 3-year term expiring July 15, 2025.
